Experiencing the 70’s is now easier than ever.

The Challenge

Replace a 50 year-old legacy brand with a new restaurant that feels fresh and grows the customer base, without alienating the previous customers, mostly families.

Our Solution

Create a shortcut back to 1970. Inspired by 70’s aesthetic and culture, this restaurant brand stands out and is fresh, with an attitude that feels comfortable to former clientele.

Pre-Launch

We made use of all the space possible during pre-launch to drum up excitement. We created humorous window posters, nostalgic wheat-pastings at construction sites, even guerrilla marketing tactics like ascots on local statues.

Launch

Launching with a huge party, we got the word out with social media and used local partnerships with radio stations, hair salons, and thrift stores to get the town ready to groove.

Post-Launch

Post-launch bus wraps, parking lot murals, and interior design inspired by authentic 70’s style continue to keep the brand in the forefront of patron’s minds.

Results

Shortcuts locations are opening across the Pacific Northwest, awakening people to a fresh new experience in smaller towns and big cities alike.
