Lost in all of this is the conversation with customers and being part of their lives. Not just saying ‘We’re with you every step of the way.’ But actually doing it.
The old-school approach of Winning Hearts and Minds along the way still works because we like the brand emotionally, not just on the surface with a click in social media. Putting your brand in someone’s wallet, on their fridge, or giving them something to have pride in works because you're meeting people where they live and how they live.
Don’t just sponsor the little league team, promote them on social media. Get caught in the act of doing the right thing. Even if it’s just having fun with their favorite team. The results always show up on the scoreboard.
